Stewardship 2027

Dear Nativity family,

Over the past few months, you may have noticed that when you walk into a Sunday service, you have to take a moment to find a seat as we have had wonderful attendance. Nativity is a growing church! Over the 2025–2026 year, Nativity welcomed more than 100 new members into our church family. Our church’s growth is a direct reflection of your continued welcoming spirit, generosity, time, and love for Nativity. It is exciting to see what God is doing in our church and to be a part of it.

With Nativity’s continued growth comes additional needs for our church. Your generosity over the years has allowed Nativity to meet the needs of our growing church family and continue the many ministries and programs that make our church special. As we enter October, our annual Stewardship efforts begin. In exploring ideas for Stewardship in 2027, the committee has focused on increasing participation among our church members. The Stewardship Committee’s hope and prayer is that every member of the Church of the Nativity will consider making a pledge for 2027. While the amount pledged by each parishioner is deeply personal and arrived at through reflection and prayer, the value of each pledge is equal. Every pledge represents a commitment to Nativity and to the work God is doing through our church.

Throughout the month of October, the Stewardship Committee will offer several opportunities to learn, reflect, and engage in the stewardship process. In addition to the pledge card that accompanies this letter, weekly emails and text messages will be sent with information about stewardship and reflections from members of the Stewardship Committee. On October 11th, 18th, and 26th, a special formation class, The Spiritual Practice of Stewardship, will be offered. These classes will explore spiritual giving, generosity, and how our generosity to Nativity helps support the wonderful church community we are blessed to be a part of.

Click HERE to access the 2027 Pledge Card. As you consider your pledge, we ask that you take some time to reflect and pray about what your commitment to Nativity will be in 2027. The Finance Committee is preparing the 2027 budget, and your pledge helps us plan for the year ahead. But our request is simple: seek the Lord through this process and be faithful to what you feel called to give. We are praying that each of us will give from a place of joy, eager to participate in the restorative work of loving God and loving our neighbors. Thank you for all that you do for Nativity and for the many ways you help make our church the welcoming and growing community that it is today.
