LEMs and Lectors
Lay Eucharistic Ministers (LEMs) administer the chalice when they are called upon to do so. Training is provided prior to serving a 3-year term. They are licensed by the Bishop of Alabama and selected by the Rector with the consent of the Vestry.
Lectors play an important role in our worship life. The lectors read the selected Scriptures in our services. After a brief training session, lectors are placed on a scheduled rotation and are notified a month in advance of their reading date. Lectors may specify at which service they prefer to read (8:45 and/or 11:00). You are encouraged to contact
the Rev. Dr. Andy Anderson if you have an interest in this ministry. |
